Lead the launch of something special- The Library, West Kirby
We're looking for an experienced, confident and hands-on Bar Manager to lead the team at our brand-new venue in West Kirby.
This is an exciting opportunity to join The Library from day one and play a key role in building a new team, setting high standards and helping establish one of West Kirby's newest hospitality destinations.
As Bar Manager, you'll be responsible for the day-to-day running of the venue, leading by example and ensuring every shift runs smoothly. This is a hands-on management role. You'll spend the majority of your shift behind the bar while overseeing the floor, supporting your team wherever needed and ensuring every guest receives exceptional service.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead and take ownership of each shift, ensuring the bar and floor operate smoothly.
- Deliver exceptional customer service and confidently handle customer enquiries and complaints.
- Lead, motivate and support the team, ensuring staff remain productive, work efficiently and maintain high standards throughout the shift.
- Manage opening and closing procedures, cash handling and daily operational checks.
- Take responsibility for stock control, ordering and minimising wastage.
- Prepare staff rotas and communicate effectively with the owners regarding staffing or operational matters.
- Ensure the venue consistently meets high standards of cleanliness, presentation, health & safety and licensing compliance.
What We're Looking For
We're looking for someone who genuinely loves hospitality and understands that exceptional customer service is at the heart of everything we do. We're searching for a natural leader who enjoys taking ownership, motivates those around them and isn't afraid to roll their sleeves up and get involved.
Ideally you'll have:
- Previous experience in a supervisory or management role within hospitality.
- Outstanding customer service and communication skills.
- A warm, approachable and professional manner.
- Experience with stock control, ordering and rota management.
- Confidence handling customer complaints and making decisions under pressure.
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
- A proactive attitude with the ability to lead by example.
