The position is for 8 hours (Extra hours available at times) and split over two days Thursday 9am-1pm and Saturday 9am-1pm. There is some flexibility on start times
Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and engage with them to understand their needs
- Assist customers with product information, features, and benefits to facilitate informed purchasing decisions
- Maintain organized merchandise displays through effective merchandising techniques
- Upsell products by highlighting complementary items and special offers to enhance customer satisfaction and sales volume
- Handle transactions efficiently using point-of-sale systems while practicing excellent phone etiquette
- Manage time effectively to serve multiple customers and keep the sales floor tidy and inviting
- Support inventory management tasks such as stock replenishment and stock rotation to ensure product availability
Skills
- Strong communication skills to clearly convey product information and build rapport with customers
- Basic math skills for handling transactions, pricing, and inventory counts accurately
- Excellent organizational skills to maintain tidy displays and manage stock levels efficiently
- Time management skills to prioritize tasks during busy periods while maintaining high service standards
- Knowledge of merchandising principles to create attractive displays that boost sales
Pay: £12.71 per hour
