Audley End Enchanted Railway began operating over 60 years ago with a wonderful miniature railway. Car Park Attendant - Fixed Term Contract
We are seeking proactive and reliable Car Park Attendants to join our team on a fixed-term contract. In this role, you will be the friendly face ensuring smooth and efficient parking operations, guiding visitors, and maintaining safety standards within the parking area. Your enthusiasm and attention to detail will help create a welcoming environment for all users while supporting overall site security and vehicle management. This position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with driving experience, organisational skills and strong communication levels to contribute to a dynamic team.
Responsibilities
- Manage vehicle flow by directing drivers to available parking spaces and ensuring orderly movement within the lot
- Assist visitors with parking enquiries, providing clear directions and support as needed
- Conduct routine inspections of the parking area to identify hazards or maintenance issues, reporting them promptly
- Co ordinate with staff on the main site via radios about any concerns, issues or emergencies
- Be the first and last member of staff that the customers see on their journey with us!
Skills
- Proven experience in driving, including commercial driving or delivery driver roles
- Strong communication skills for engaging with visitors, team members and delivery drivers effectively
- Happy to be walking around in an outdoor environment, in all weathers for the duration of your shift.
Hours of work:
This fixed term contract will start 12th October for approximately 10 weeks. Hours per week can be fixed to either 24, 32, or 40. You must be flexible and able to work both weekdays and weekend days. We offer a fun and interactive training and induction programme, a competitive rate of pay, free hot drinks to keep you nice and warm!
Rate of pay:
The rate of pay is up to £14.24 per hour dependant on age. This role also benefits from holiday pay.
