Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Kennel Assistant to join our team in providing exceptional care for our animals. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for all dogs in our care. Duties
- Assist with feeding, watering, and administering medication to animals as directed
- Clean kennels and communal areas to ensure hygiene standards are maintained
- Monitor animals for signs of illness or distress and report any concerns to senior staff
- Support with exercise routines and socialisation activities for the dogs
- Restock supplies such as food, bedding, and cleaning materials as needed
- Help with general organisation and maintenance of the kennel environment
- Willingness to interact with clients on a daily basis via the phone, in person and via other communication methods
Qualifications
- Genuine passion for animal welfare and care
- Previous experience working with animals is desirable but not essential; training will be provided
- Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team
- Good organisational skills and attention to detail
- Physically fit, able to lift moderate weights and stand for extended periods
- Reliable, responsible, and compassionate nature
- Basic understanding of health and safety procedures in a kennel environment

The position will predominantly be working outside in all weathers, there is a 2 week rota and some weekend work is essential for this position. This position is on a self employed basis.
Pay: £115.00 per day
