The Role:
As our Office Junior, you'll play an important part in keeping the office running smoothly while supporting a variety of departments across the business.
Working alongside experienced colleagues, you'll develop practical administration, communication and organisational skills while gaining exposure to the construction and engineering industry.
No extensive experience is required we're looking for the right attitude, enthusiasm and willingness to learn.
Key Responsibilities
- Providing general administrative support to the office team
- Answering telephone calls and directing enquiries professionally
- Filing, scanning, photocopying and organising company documents
- Maintaining both electronic and paper filing systems
- Entering and updating company records accurately
- Assisting with preparing letters, reports and other business documents
- Welcoming visitors and supporting reception duties
- Preparing meeting rooms and helping maintain a tidy, professional office environment
- Ordering office supplies and stationery
- Supporting managers and colleagues with a variety of day-to-day office tasks
- Handling company information with professionalism and confidentiality
What We're Looking For
Essential
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- A positive attitude with a willingness to learn
- Good attention to detail
- Organised, reliable and dependable
- Able to work effectively as part of a team
- Basic Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel and Outlook)
Desirable
- An interest in administration or business support
- Previous experience in an office environment (not essential)
- Familiarity with office equipment and general administrative systems
QualificationsEssential
- Good general education, including GCSEs (or equivalent), ideally including English and Maths
Desirable
- Interest in completing an apprenticeship or undertaking further professional development
