The Role
The Head of Sales is a key leadership position within Tavistock Group, reporting to the Group Operations Director and working closely with the senior leadership team and business leaders across Lifetime, Alpha Beta and the Group's other subsidiary businesses.
The role will lead the Group's commercial growth agenda, driving revenue growth, strategic partnerships, client acquisition and retention, and the development of new market opportunities.
As a senior ambassador for the Group, the Head of Sales will lead the development of a high-performance sales culture, strengthen the Tavistock brand and play a pivotal role in delivering the Group's long-term growth ambitions.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership
- Develop and deliver the Group's sales and business development strategy, driving sustainable growth in revenue, client acquisition, assets under management and profitability.
- Deliver sustainable growth in revenue, client acquisition and assets under management.
- Identify and secure new market opportunities, strategic partnerships and distribution channels to support the Group's growth ambitions.
- Lead the development and enhancement of the Group's employer proposition, ensuring it remains competitive, differentiated and aligned to evolving client and market needs.
- Build and strengthen relationships with advisers, professional introducers, employers and strategic partners to create sustainable growth opportunities.
- Work closely with the Group Marketing Director and senior leadership team to align sales, marketing and business development activity with the Group's strategic objectives.
- Develop and implement a joined-up sales and marketing strategy that drives brand awareness, lead generation, client acquisition and business growth.
- Establish, monitor and report on key sales performance metrics, growth targets and business development initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

Business Development
- Drive new business opportunities across financial wellbeing, financial planning, employee benefits, wealth management and investment services.
- Build, maintain and strengthen relationships with professional introducers, advisers, accountants, solicitors, employers and strategic partners.
- Develop and manage adviser engagement, referral and partnership programmes to create a sustainable pipeline of new business opportunities.
- Identify, negotiate and secure strategic partnerships that enhance the Group's market presence, proposition and growth potential.
- Work closely with the Group Marketing Director to align sales and marketing strategies, ensuring effective lead generation, campaign delivery and conversion of opportunities.
- Collaborate with Marketing on targeted campaigns, events, through leadership and business development initiatives that support growth objectives.
- Work collaboratively with operational and proposition teams to ensure solutions meet the evolving needs of clients, employers and advisers.
- Identify opportunities to cross-sell services and deepen relationships across the Group's existing client base.
- Support the development and promotion of compelling employer propositions that drive client acquisition, retention and engagement.
Sales Leadership
- Build, lead and develop a high-performing, scalable sales team capable of delivering the Group's ambitious growth objectives.
- Create a culture focused on excellence, accountability and client outcomes.
- Coach, mentor and develop team members to maximise performance, capability and career development.
- Establish clear sales processes, performance standards and development frameworks to drive consistency and sustainable results.
- Ensure effective pipeline management, forecasting, sales reporting and conversion performance.
- Foster strong collaboration between Sales, Marketing, Operations and Advice teams to deliver a seamless client experience and achieve commercial objectives.
- Leverage data, market intelligence and performance insights to continually improve sales effectiveness, productivity and return on investment.
Brand & Market Presence
- Act as an ambassador for Tavistock Group, Lifetime and Alpha Beta, promoting the Group’s values, proposition and capabilities.
- Represent the Group at industry events, conferences, networking forums and client engagement activities to enhance market presence and generate business opportunities.
- Build and strengthen the Group's profile and reputation among advisers, employers, professional introducers and strategic partners.
- Promote the Group's commitment to supporting clients throughout their financial journey.
- Work closely with the Group Marketing Director to enhance brand awareness, market presence and visibility across target markets.
