Overview
We are seeking a professional and organised Receptionist/Legal Assistant to join our legal practice from Monday to Friday during the afternoons. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with strong administrative skills and a keen interest in legal support functions. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing front-desk duties, supporting legal staff with various administrative tasks, and ensuring smooth office operations. Responsibilities
- Greet clients and visitors in a courteous and professional manner
- Manage incoming calls, emails, and correspondence efficiently
- Maintain and update legal files, records, and databases using organisational skills
- Assist with scheduling appointments and meetings using Microsoft Outlook
- Assist in preparing of legal documents, reports, and correspondence with accuracy and attention to detail
- Support legal staff with administrative tasks such as filing, photocopying, and document management
- Ensure the reception area remains tidy and welcoming at all times
- Manage IT-related issues or requests to ensure smooth office operations
Skills
- Proven administrative experience, ideally within a legal setting
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Proficiency in typing with high accuracy levels
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook)
- Good IT skills to troubleshoot basic technical issues when necessary
- Effective time management to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Attention to detail and high levels of professionalism
