We're looking for a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join Kier Design team based in Liverpool or London. Kier Design are a highly regarded Tier 1 Contractor, with a 750 plus strong design consultancy team, recognised as a Top 30 employer on Glassdoor.

Hours: 40 hours per week - some flexibility on hours available if desired, just let us know when you speak to us.
Salary: starting from £50,000 per annum

Are you…
- Holding a Degree in Mechanical Building Services Engineering or Mechanical Engineering and member of CIBSE or IET
- A Chartered Engineer or working towards becoming chartered
- Experienced in your discipline with a high level of knowledge
- Able to communicate complex technical concepts into readily understood information suitable for a wider business audience
- Experienced in the application of quality procedures and document control in engineering design
What will you be responsible for?
As a Senior Mechanical Engineer, you'll be working within the Mechanical team, supporting them in delivering mechanical design for large, complex construction projects.
You'll lead the mechanical design team, integrate different disciplines, and drive innovation for high-value projects, ensuring sustainable, compliant, and cost-effective design delivery from concept through to construction.
Working collaboratively with clients, architects, contractors, and other stakeholders, you'll bridge client needs with engineering reality whilst maintaining the highest standards of quality and compliance.
Your day to day will include:
- Providing high quality mechanical designs and specifications that meet client requirements and brief
- Leading on all professional services in connection with mechanical design for allocated projects and clients
- Representing mechanical engineering in project design meetings, establishing solutions and agreeing concepts
- Ensuring delivery of co-ordinated design solutions and compliance with relevant building codes, regulations, and industry standards
- Promoting and implementing sustainable design solutions whilst identifying and resolving technical and logistical challenges
