Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Stonemason’s Labourer to support our skilled team in various construction and masonry projects. The successful candidate will assist with the preparation, handling, and movement of materials, ensuring smooth workflow on-site. Responsibilities
- Assist with the loading, unloading, and transportation of stones, bricks, and other building materials using hand tools and power tools.
- Support bricklayers and masons by preparing work areas and mixing mortar as needed.
- Operate basic hand tools such as hammers, chisels, trowels, and levels to aid in masonry tasks.
- Use power tools safely for cutting, shaping, or drilling materials under supervision.
- Support carpentry, roofing, or welding tasks as required on-site.
- Maintain a clean and organised work environment to ensure safety standards are met.
- Follow health and safety guidelines at all times during project execution.
- Assist with site clean-up at the end of each working day to ensure a tidy work area.
Qualifications
- Previous experience with hand tools, bricklaying, masonry, or related trades is advantageous but not essential; training will be provided.
- Basic understanding of power tools, carpentry, roofing, or welding is desirable.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a physically demanding environment.
- Good organisational skills with attention to detail.
- Willingness to learn new skills and take on varied tasks on-site.
- Physical fitness and stamina to perform manual labour throughout the working day.
