Pipe Fabricator Summary
We are seeking a skilled, time-served Pipe Fabricator to join our manufacturing team. The successful candidate will be involved in the fabrication, fitting, assembly, and welding of pipework and associated metal components for a variety of industrial projects.
This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a strong mechanical background and experience in pipe fabrication, fitting, TIG, FCAW to contribute to high-quality projects within a professional and fast-paced environment.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Carry out pipe fabrication, and assembly of pipework systems and pipe spools
- Read and interpret technical drawings & fabrication drawings.
- Prepare, align, fit-up, and assemble pipework and associated components
- Fabricate metal components in accordance with engineering drawings and specifications
- Use hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment to cut, shape, and prepare materials
- Conduct quality inspections on fabricated and welded components to ensure compliance with company and industry standards
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment in accordance with health and safety procedures
- Work independently or as part of a team to meet project deadlines and production targets
Requirements
- Proven experience in pipe fabrication
- Ability to read and interpret engineering and fabrication drawings accurately
- Competent in the use of hand tools, power tools, and fabrication machinery
- Good mechanical knowledge and understanding of fabrication and assembly processes
- Experience working with pipework, structural steel, and sheet metal fabrication desirable
- Good attention to detail and organisational skills
- Basic maths skills for measuring, marking out, and fabrication calculations
- Ability to work effectively within a fast-paced workshop or site environment
Desirable
- Relevant welding qualifications or codings
- Experience working to industrial or coded welding standards
