We are an independent nursery in Twickenham looking for a qualified Level 2 Early Years Educator to join our team.
A full and relevant UK Level 2 Early Years / Childcare qualification is an essential requirement for this position. We are unable to consider applicants who do not currently hold the required Level 2 qualification.
Ideally, you will also live locally or within a reasonable commuting distance of the nursery. Reliability and consistency are important to us and to the children in our care.

Your role
As an Early Years Educator, you will play an important role in supporting children's learning, development and wellbeing.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Being a Key Person for a group of children and developing strong, positive relationships with them and their families
- Supporting children's learning and development through play and everyday experiences
- Planning and taking part in engaging, age-appropriate activities
- Observing children and recording meaningful observations of their learning and development
- Using observations to support children's next steps
- Working in line with the EYFS
- Helping children feel safe, confident and supported
- Supporting children with daily routines, including meals, sleep and personal care
- Communicating positively with parents and sharing information about their child's day and development
- Working closely with colleagues as part of the nursery team
- Following nursery policies and procedures and maintaining high standards of safeguarding
- Helping to maintain an organised, welcoming and stimulating environment
The person we are looking for
You will:
- Hold a full and relevant UK Level 2 Early Years Educator / Childcare qualification – essential
- Have experience working with young children, ideally aged 1–4
- Have a good understanding of the EYFS and early childhood development
- Understand the role of a Key Person
- Be confident communicating with children, parents and colleagues
- Be comfortable writing observations and contributing to children's learning records
- Be warm, caring, patient and reliable
- Enjoy playing and interacting with young children
- Work well as part of a team
- Have a positive attitude and good communication skills
- Be willing to get involved in all aspects of nursery life
- Be interested in developing professionally and building a long-term career in Early Years

Ideally, you will live locally or have a straightforward commute to the nursery.
We are particularly looking for someone who can provide consistency and reliability for the children and the team.
Professional development

There may also be opportunities to take on additional responsibilities as your experience and confidence develop.
DBS
An Enhanced DBS check is required for this position.
If you do not already have one, we will arrange and cover the cost.
