Supported by our Restaurant Manager, Eimear Courtney, you will assist in providing leadership to our team, ensuring the smooth day-to-day supervision of our busy hotel Food and Beverage team. We want to help you to develop your skills and offer an extensive range of learning and development opportunities.
The successful candidate will have worked in a busy Food and Beverage environment and be able to lead, motivate and support your team members to achieve success. You can expect to work 28 hours per week (excluding breaks), five shifts out seven including weekends. Hours vary to cover breakfast, typical shift patterns are 6.30am-2pm and 7am-3pm.

About The Role
To be responsible for the supervision of Food and Beverage for the greatest enjoyment of the guests and the maximum profit contribution to the hotel.
1. To take responsibility for the effective supervision of the food and beverage teams, ensuring the efficient operation of food and beverage and delivery of Hastings product and service standards.
2. To promote and contribute to a harmonious working environment where all employees are treated with respect and dignity.
3. To ensure quality standards and procedures are fully understood and implemented, and daily checking procedures are fully applied.
4. To ensure company policies relating to cash handling, stock control and stock ordering are implemented and monitored.
5. To ensure all food and beverage employees receive the appropriate training and coaching to provide effective and efficient service in line with Hastings standards.
6. To ensure all food and beverage employees work to trained standards, providing feedback to deliver effective and efficient service in line with Hastings standards.
7. To ensure the team are knowledgeable about the facilities and services within the hotel and are proactive in the sale of these to guests.
8. To ensure you and the team assist guests with any reasonable request for hotel services.
9. To ensure you and the team respond to complaints and find the appropriate solution.
10. To maintain effective communication and relationships with other hotel departments and suppliers to maintain an effective operation and ensure guest satisfaction.
11. To ensure the security of food, beverage and storage areas is maintained at all times.
12. To ensure the food and beverage areas, fixtures and equipment are properly maintained and presented to Hastings standards.
13. To ensure a safe environment is maintained in compliance with health, safety, fire, hygiene and security legislation and company policies and procedures.
14. To ensure the hotel's compliance with all matters relating to licensing laws, Customs and Excise Regulations and all other relevant legislation.
15. Any other duties as required by Management.
