Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Physiotherapist to join our healthcare team on a fixed term contract. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in assessing, diagnosing, and treating patients with physical difficulties resulting from illness, injury, or disability. This position requires a strong foundation in anatomy and physiology, as well as excellent patient care skills. The Physiotherapist will work closely with patients of all ages, including paediatrics, to develop tailored rehabilitation programmes that promote recovery and enhance mobility.
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough assessments of patients to determine their physical condition and needs.
- Develop and implement personalised treatment plans based on individual patient assessments.
- Utilise various physiotherapy techniques and modalities to facilitate recovery, including exercise therapy, manual therapy, and electrotherapy.
- Educate patients and their families about treatment plans, exercises, and self-management strategies.
- Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in accordance with medical standards and regulations.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care for patients.
- Stay updated on the latest research and advancements in physiotherapy practices.
Qualifications
- A recognised degree in Physiotherapy or equivalent qualification.
- Registration with the relevant professional body
- Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology.
- Experience in a hospital setting is preferred but not essential.
- Excellent communication skills with a strong emphasis on patient care.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- A commitment to ongoing professional development and continuous learning.
