Duties
- Assist in food preparation by mixing, shaping, and baking a variety of baked goods according to established recipes and quality standards
- Serve customers with a friendly attitude, taking orders accurately and providing excellent customer service
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bakery area, including equipment, workstations, and display cases
- Follow food safety protocols diligently to ensure all products meet health regulations and quality standards
- Manage time effectively to ensure timely production and delivery of baked items during busy periods
- Operate point-of-sale systems for transactions while handling cash or card payments securely
- Restock supplies, ingredients, and packaging materials to keep the bakery fully equipped for daily operations
Experience
- Previous experience as a barista or in serving food and beverages is preferred but not required; we value enthusiasm and willingness to learn
- Knowledge of food safety practices is essential to ensure safe handling of ingredients and baked goods
- Basic math skills are necessary for accurate measurements, portioning, and cash handling
- Strong time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team while maintaining a positive attitude
- Experience with food preparation or baking is a plus but can be developed on the job
