Job Summary
Join our dedicated team as an ABA Therapist, where you'll play a vital role in supporting a child on the autism pathway. Responsibilities
- Implement individualized ABA therapy plans designed by licensed behavior analysts to support clients’ developmental goals
- Use positive reinforcement techniques to encourage desired behaviors and reduce challenging behaviors
- Collect and record data on client progress during therapy sessions to monitor effectiveness and inform adjustments
- Assist with medication administration as directed by healthcare professionals, ensuring proper documentation and safety protocols
- Provide patient care by maintaining a safe, supportive environment during therapy sessions and activities
- Collaborate with families, caregivers, and team members to ensure consistency across all settings and share progress updates regularly
- Support clients with daily living skills, social interactions, communication development, and behavior management strategies
Skills
- Experience working with children or individuals with disabilities in educational or therapeutic settings
- Strong knowledge of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) principles and techniques
- Prior experience working with individuals with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) is highly preferred
- Background in special education or related fields enhances your ability to tailor interventions effectively
- Ability to administer medication safely when required, following all safety guidelines
- Excellent patient care skills combined with patience, empathy, and active listening abilities
- Effective communication skills for working collaboratively with families, team members, and clients
