Job Description
Working closely with Production, Engineering and Quality teams, the role plays a key part in ensuring electrical integrity, safety, compliance and on-time delivery of fully functional products.
The purpose of this role is to carry out the assembly, installation, electrical testing and inspection of deployable infrastructure units, ensuring compliance with project specifications, industry standards, and internal quality benchmarks. The role supports the delivery of safe, reliable, and compliant electrical systems within containerised and mobile infrastructure solutions.
Your responsibilities in this role include:
Electrical Testing & Inspection

Perform electrical testing and inspection of completed systems and sub-systems in accordance with BS 7671 and other relevant standards.

Ensure all test results are accurately recorded and reviewed before sign-off of the Electrical Installation Certificate (EIC).

Verify correct installation and operation of electrical and communication systems.

Identify and document non-conformances, raising issues through the appropriate quality channels.

Liaise with engineering and quality teams to resolve any discrepancies or failures identified during testing.

Support fault-finding and rectification activities in collaboration with the production and engineering teams.
Electrical Build and Installation
Manufacturing and installing electrical circuits and communication systems into mobile workspaces and various electrical products and equipment.
Execute a range of wire-related tasks, including:

Looming
-
Crimping
-
Braiding
-
Soldering
-
Wire cutting, preparation and termination

Cable identification
-
Fibre Optic installation
Qualifications
- Strong understanding of electrical testing procedures and standards (e.g. City and Guilds 2391-52 or equivalent and BS7671 18th edition).
Apply if you have most of the following:
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams and technical specifications
- Strong understanding of electrical testing methods and safety standards
- Experience with electrical test equipment (e.g. multimeters, insulation testers, continuity testers)
- Knowledge of system-level testing and integration (electrical/mechanical interface)
- Ability to analyse and interpret electrical test data and results
- Experience with Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) and inspection processes
- Knowledge of non-conformance reporting (NCR) and root cause analysis
- Strong electrical fault-finding and diagnostic skills
