CHEAT DAZE is a fast-growing UK dessert brand, and we’re excited to be opening our new store in Newcastle city centre.
We’re now looking for enthusiastic and reliable people to join our Newcastle team from the beginning. You’ll be working in a lively dessert bar preparing milkshakes and other desserts while making sure every customer receives a great experience.
Full training will be provided, but we’re looking for people who are friendly, willing to learn and comfortable working in a busy environment.
Presentation is an important part of CHEAT DAZE, so attention to detail matters. You’ll also need to be happy getting involved with all parts of running the store, from serving customers to cleaning and preparing the shop for service.
What you'll be doing
- Welcoming customers and taking orders
- Preparing made-to-order desserts, waffles and milkshakes
- Decorating and presenting desserts to CHEAT DAZE standards
- Taking cash and card payments
- Preparing takeaway and delivery orders
- Keeping work areas clean and following food hygiene procedures
- Restocking ingredients and packaging during shifts
- Helping with opening and closing the store
- Working with the rest of the team during busy periods
Who we're looking for
We’re looking for people who are dependable, positive and comfortable speaking with customers.
Previous experience in hospitality, cafés, fast food, retail or customer service would be useful, but is not essential.
You must be able to work a mixture of evenings and weekends, and some shifts will finish at 2am.
The role could be particularly suitable for university students looking for flexible work alongside their studies.

Availability
We are recruiting for both part-time and full-time positions.
Applicants should be available for evening and/or weekend shifts. Late-night availability is particularly important so please ensure you have appropriate transport.
Pay: £10.00-£13.00 per hour
