Responsibilities
- Deliver personalised support tailored to each individual's needs, ensuring their safety, dignity, and emotional well-being at all times
- Assist individuals with daily living activities such as personal care, meal preparation, and recreational pursuits to promote independence
- Support engagement in activities that encourage skill-building, community involvement, and social interaction
- Provide guidance, encouragement, and positive reinforcement to build confidence and resilience
- Collaborate with colleagues, families, and external professionals (social workers, healthcare providers) to develop and review support/care plans
- Support individuals during outings, appointments, and community activities to ensure safety and enjoyment
- Maintain accurate records of daily activities, progress notes, and any incidents or concerns in line with CQC requirements
Experience
- Prior experience working with adults with learning disabilities, autism, mental health needs, or physical disabilities in a caregiving setting is highly desirable
- Demonstrated ability to support and motivate individuals to build independence
- Knowledge of person-centred care principles and best practices in supporting adults' needs
- Understanding of the Mental Capacity Act and safeguarding adults is a strong plus
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to build trusting, respectful relationships with the people we support and their families
- Enhanced DBS check required

Pay: £25,420.00-£37,167.30 per year
