Job Summary
We are seeking a versatile and enthusiastic Cafe All-Rounder to join our team. This role involves providing excellent customer service, preparing food and beverages, and maintaining a clean and welcoming environment. The ideal candidate will be proactive, friendly, and capable of handling multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced setting. Previous experience in a café or food service environment is advantageous but not essential, as training will be provided. This paid position offers an excellent opportunity to develop skills within the hospitality industry.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold beverages, including coffee, tea, and speciality drinks, ensuring high quality standards.
- Assist with food preparation tasks such as assembling sandwiches, salads, and snacks.
- Serve customers at the counter or table, taking orders accurately and delivering exceptional customer service.
- Maintain cleanliness of the café area, including tables, counters, kitchen surfaces, and equipment in accordance with food safety standards.
- Manage stock levels and restock supplies as needed to ensure smooth operations throughout shifts.
- Pot washing and kitchen porter duties to include maintaining the cleanliness of the kitchen area ,
- Follow health and safety procedures diligently to ensure a safe environment for staff and customers.
- Support team members with various duties as required to ensure the efficient running of the café.
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in hygiene standards.
- Previous barista experience is desirable but not essential; training will be provided for those new to coffee making.
- Experience in serving customers with friendly professionalism and excellent communication skills.
- Basic food preparation skills with attention to detail.
- Good organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Basic maths skills for handling cash transactions accurately.
- Strong time management skills to prioritise tasks effectively during busy periods.

Pay: £12.71-£13.50 per hour
