Senior Immigration & Asylum Caseworker
We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated IAAS Senior Caseworker (Level 2) to join our growing Immigration Department.
The successful candidate will have a proven track record in Immigration and Asylum Law, with substantial experience managing publicly funded immigration matters under a Legal Aid Agency contract.
Essential Requirements
- IAAS Accredited Senior Caseworker (Level 2).
- Years of experience practising Immigration and Asylum Law.
- Proven track record managing immigration and asylum matters independently.
- Extensive experience in publicly funded immigration and asylum work.
- Excellent knowledge of asylum, human rights and immigration law.
- Experience preparing and managing appeals before the First-tier Tribunal and Upper Tribunal.
- Strong drafting, case preparation and client care skills.
- Excellent organisational, communication and time management skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing a varied caseload of immigration, asylum and human rights matters.
- Taking instructions and preparing applications, appeals and legal representations.
- Maintaining Legal Aid compliance, billing and file management requirements.
- Preparing tribunal cases and advocacy preparation.
- Conducting file reviews and ensuring high standards of client care.
Salary
£32,000 - £60,000 per annum, depending on experience.
