Vacancy Introduction
As a General Operative, you will support the successful delivery of civils and drainage projects by working closely with the Team Leader and wider site team. You will assist with a variety of site activities, including excavation works, utility locating and marking, operating plant and equipment where authorised, and ensuring work is completed safely and efficiently. You will be expected to follow company procedures, wear the appropriate PPE, contribute to maintaining high health, safety and environmental standards, and communicate progress or any issues to the Team Leader. The role offers a varied workload and the opportunity to gain valuable experience across different areas of the business.
Cappagh Browne Utilities Ltd is a special purpose joint venture established to deliver wastewater network maintenance and repair services for Southern Water across the South of England. We focus on keeping sewer networks operating efficiently through planned maintenance, emergency response and rehabilitation works. Our capability is underpinned by a substantial fleet of specialist vehicles including vacuum tankers, jetting units and CCTV survey equipment, supported by advanced technology for rapid diagnostics and effective solutions. With a reputation for safety, reliability and technical expertise, Cappagh Browne plays a critical role in protecting communities and maintaining essential infrastructure.
What We're Looking For

Groundworks, utilities or construction experience (preferred but not essential).

A valid UK driving licence.

NRSWA Street Works and CAT & Genny qualifications would be advantageous but are not essential.
