Overview
CDM Recruit are seeking experienced Welders for upcoming major industrial and energy sector projects across the North West, including carbon capture, process and heavy mechanical installation works.
We want to hear from welders who understand the standards expected on large industrial projects and who can work safely, productively and to a high level of quality within controlled site environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Weld carbon steel, stainless steel and associated materials in line with approved procedures
- Work to WPS, fabrication drawings, isometrics and project instructions
- Produce welds to required quality standards and support visual and formal inspection stages
- Maintain control of welding equipment, consumables and work areas
- Work alongside pipefitters, supervisors, engineers and QA personnel to achieve programme targets
- Support repair, modification, installation and shutdown related welding activities where required
Requirements
- Proven welding experience within industrial, process, fabrication or heavy engineering environments
- Valid CCNSG Safety Passport or CSCS card
- Current or recent welding codes relevant to the work scope such as TIG, MMA or FCAW where applicable
- Ability to work to WPS and engineering drawings
- Strong understanding of weld quality, traceability and disciplined site working standards
Compliance and Verification
CDM Recruit are positioning for major projects where compliance standards are non negotiable. All cards, certificates,
qualifications and competency evidence must be provided and will be verified prior to engagement.
Suitable applicants may also be asked to provide references, recent project history and supporting evidence relevant to the discipline advertised before progressing to client review or mobilisation.

These roles form part of our upcoming project pipeline, with start dates subject to client confirmation and mobilisation schedules.
Rates and working arrangements will be discussed with suitable candidates based on project scope, shift pattern, qualifications and proven experience.
