Who we are seeking:
Are you an experienced care professional who is passionate about delivering outstanding person-centred care? We are looking for a dedicated and motivated Deputy Manager to support the leadership and day-to-day management of our domiciliary care service, ensuring people receive safe, effective, compassionate and high-quality care in their own homes.
Responsibilities:
Working closely with the Registered Manager, you will have a key role in maintaining compliance with the Health & Social Care Act 2008 (Regulated Activities) Regulations 2014, safeguarding legislation and the Mental Capacity Act 2005, supporting continuous quality improvement and promoting a positive culture that places our clients at the centre of everything we do. You will ensure our service meets the standards expected by CQC and reflects best practice is adult social care.
The successful candidate will support:
- The recruitment, supervision and development of care staff
- Promote safe working practices
- Assist with audits and quality assurance activities
- Respond to safeguarding concerns
- Contribute to effective care planning and risk management
- Ensure service users are treated with dignity, respect and compassion.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues, families, healthcare professionals and other stakeholders to achieve positive outcomes for the people we support.
You will have previous experience in domiciliary care and experience of supervising and leading a team. You should have a good understanding of CQC regulations, safeguarding responsibilities, person-centred care, medication management, mental capacity legislation, infection prevention and control and quality assurance processes. Excellent communication, organisational and problem-solving skills are essential, together with the ability to lead by example and inspire others to provide exceptional care.
Essential Criteria:
- A Level 3 Diploma in Adult Care or an equivalent relevant qualification is essential.
- In the absence of a Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management for Adult Care, willingness to work towards the qualification is essential.
- A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle suitable for work purposes to enable travel between service user and locations is essential.
- Demonstrable knowledge of the CQC’s Single Assessment Framework (particularly the Well-led quality statement)
