About Us
Laughing Bulldog Events creates award-winning live events, festivals, immersive experiences and entertainment across the UK. From Christmas attractions and theatrical productions to festivals and scare events, we're looking for someone practical, reliable and enthusiastic to help bring our projects to life.
The Role
You'll work alongside our production team helping to build, maintain and install event scenery, props and infrastructure both in our workshop and on-site at events.
No two days are the same—you could be painting scenery one day, building Christmas sets the next, before helping install them at a venue.
Key Responsibilities
* Assist with the construction of scenic sets, props and event installations
* Basic woodworking and carpentry
* Painting scenery, props and decorative finishes
* Assembly and dismantling of events and installations
* Loading and unloading vehicles
* General workshop organisation and housekeeping
* Carry out basic repairs and maintenance to equipment and scenery
* Assist with venue installations and de-rigs
* Follow health and safety procedures at all times
* Support the wider production team wherever needed
We're Looking For Someone Who
* Is practical and enjoys hands-on work
* Has basic woodworking and DIY skills
* Can confidently use hand and power tools
* Takes pride in producing high-quality work
* Is reliable, hardworking and punctual
* Works well both independently and as part of a team
* Is physically fit and comfortable lifting and moving equipment
* Has a positive attitude and is willing to learn
Desirable (But Not Essential)
* Previous workshop, theatre, events or construction experience
* Technical experience (Sound & Lighting)
* Scenic painting experience
* Basic decorating or maintenance skills
* Full UK Driving Licence
* Experience working with timber, staging or temporary structures
