Part-Time Pot Washer

We need someone who likes getting stuck in.
We’re looking for a Pot Washer to join our brilliant kitchen team at Emma Bridgewater.
It’s a busy kitchen, there’s always plenty going on, and the pot wash is right at the heart of it. It’s an important job — when the kitchen is busy, clean plates, pans and utensils need to keep coming, and that only happens when the pot wash is on it.
You’ll be working alongside a friendly, sociable team in a kitchen where people work hard, look out for each other and, hopefully, have a bit of fun along the way.
The job
You’ll be responsible for keeping the kitchen moving by:
- Washing crockery, cutlery, pots, pans and kitchen equipment
- Keeping the pot wash and kitchen areas clean and tidy
- Helping with basic kitchen prep and other jobs when needed
- Working quickly and efficiently when things get busy
- Following our food hygiene and safety standards
- Generally being the person the kitchen can rely on to keep things moving
You don’t need to have been a pot washer before. Experience in a busy kitchen, café, restaurant or hospitality environment would be useful, but a good attitude, reliability and a willingness to get stuck in matter more.
Flexibility is really important
This is a 24-hour-a-week role, but the days aren’t fixed.
The important thing is that you’re flexible and able to work across any day of the week. We’re open 7 days, so this isn’t a Monday-to-Friday job.
We also need someone who is happy to help with holiday cover when required. From time to time, we have events in the kitchen which may mean some evening work. These are planned in advance, so you’ll get plenty of notice.
