You will be fit and strong ..there will be days when you have to build 60 gazebos in the pouring rain or even boiling sun… or unload 1000 crowd barriers from lorrys because the forklift isn’t available.. understand that the summer months in the Event World have some long days.... above all you need a positive mental attitude - with lots of banter!

From major film productions and television dramas to festivals, sporting events and live entertainment, our equipment helps create some of the UK’s biggest productions.
We’re looking for an On Site Manager (OSM) to become the face of Armadillo Gear on customer sites, delivering exceptional customer service and setting the standard for professionalism within our industry. You will be hands on on the ground doing the job everyday but also recruit and lead the team as it grows over the next few years.
This is a senior role within our business. We’re looking for someone who takes ownership, solves problems, builds relationships and genuinely enjoys representing a premium brand while grafting hard!
The Role
Based from our Cheshire HQ (Opening in Chester), you’ll be responsible for delivering, collecting and, where required, installing equipment for productions, festivals and events.
Approximately 80% of the role is dry hire deliveries and collections (which all need loading and unloading.. so you need to be fit, strong and positive), with the remaining work involving:
- Management / Recruitment and Development of the On Site Team.
- On-site installations
- Derigs
- Customer site visits
- Supporting customers on location day to day
You’ll also spend quieter periods supporting our wider operation and, where required, assisting our sister company, Fuel Team, supplying fuel to some of the biggest film, tv and event customers in the UK.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Building Relationships with all our customers.
- Delivering and collecting equipment safely and professionally.
- Installing and derigging equipment when required.
- Working closely with our warehouse team to quickly load and unload vehicles.
- Carrying out vehicle and equipment inspections.
- Maintaining outstanding customer relationships.
- Identifying opportunities to upsell equipment and passing leads to our Sales Team.
- Taking high-quality photos and videos on customer sites for marketing purposes.
- Maintaining an active LinkedIn profile with regular posts showcasing your work and promoting Armadillo Gear.
- Supporting wider operations during quieter periods.
- Assisting Fuel Team when operationally required.
- Representing Armadillo Gear professionally on every job.

You’ll be personally issued with your own -Shiny & New Top Spec Iveco Daily Dropside complete with:
- Tail lift
- Full climate control
- Satellite navigation
- Captain seats
- Premium driver comfort package
The vehicle is for work use only, but it will be your responsibility and nobody else will drive it.
We expect it to be kept looking shiny and new at all times and maintained to the same high standard as our equipment.
