Job Type: School Term Time – Ongoing
Schedule: Monday to Friday, approximately 7:00am–9:30am and 2:30pm–4:30pm
About the Role
Kosh Care Ltd is looking for reliable, caring and responsible Passenger Transport Assistants/Escorts to support children and young people with special educational needs and/or disabilities travelling to and from school.
You will help ensure passengers are safe, supported and appropriately supervised throughout their journey.
Key Responsibilities
- Safeguard and supervise children during school transport.
- Assist passengers when boarding and leaving the vehicle.
- Monitor and report any concerns, incidents or issues.
- Provide a calm, caring and supportive presence.
- Communicate with drivers, parents/carers, schools and Kosh Care Ltd.
- Follow safeguarding, health and safety and passenger transport procedures.
- Respond appropriately to any safeguarding, welfare or first aid concerns that may arise.
Requirements
- Previous experience working with children or young people is essential.
- Previous safeguarding experience is preferred.
- Previous first aid experience is preferred.
- Good communication skills.
- Reliable, punctual and responsible.
- Patient, caring and able to remain calm in challenging situations.
- Ability to follow safeguarding and health and safety procedures.
- Full training will be provided by Kosh Care Ltd.
- Candidates must live in the London Borough of Barnet.
DBS
A DBS check is required for this role. Candidates registered with the DBS Update Service are preferred. Kosh Care Ltd can assist with the DBS application where required.
