Warehouse & Service Technician
£27,000–£30,000 | Tewkesbury | Full-time | Mon–Fri 08:30–17:00
Premiere Healthcare is looking for a practical, technically minded person to join our team in Tewkesbury.
This is a genuinely varied role combining warehouse operations, preparation and testing of specialist healthcare equipment, servicing and minor repairs, and deliveries to customer sites.
We're not necessarily looking for someone with healthcare experience. If you're practical, comfortable with computers, enjoy solving problems and are keen to learn, we'll provide the specialist product and technical training.
What you'll be doing
- Receiving, processing and preparing incoming equipment
- Checking and function-testing specialist healthcare equipment
- Managing day-to-day warehouse and stock activities
- Processing stock movements and orders on our computer systems
- Preparing and dispatching goods by carrier
- Preparing equipment for delivery
- Delivering and collecting equipment from customer sites
- Servicing equipment both in-house and at customer locations
- Carrying out minor repairs and fitting components such as belts and accessories
- Assisting with two-person deliveries where required
- Keeping the warehouse organised, safe and efficient
What we're looking for
You'll need to be practical, reliable, computer literate and comfortable dealing with customers. You'll also need to be happy with a role where one day might involve receiving and preparing equipment in the warehouse and the next could include a delivery, service visit or minor repair.
A full UK driving licence is essential.
Previous experience in warehouse operations, servicing, maintenance, engineering, mobility/medical equipment, automotive work or another practical technical environment would be useful, but isn't essential.
Forklift experience is useful but not required — training can be provided.
You'll need to be physically able to safely handle and move the equipment involved in the role.
The successful applicant will also be required to complete a Basic DBS check.
