Job Overview
We are seeking a organised Payroll Officer to manage and oversee the organisation’s payroll processes. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely payments, maintaining payroll records, and ensuring compliance with relevant legislation. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a strong background in data entry.
Duties
- Process weekly and monthly payroll
- Manage data entry related to employee hours, deductions, and benefits
- Ensure accurate calculation of wages, taxes, and other deductions in accordance with legal requirements
- Oversee accounts payable related to payroll expenses and liaise with finance teams for reconciliation
- Maintain comprehensive payroll records and ensure confidentiality of sensitive information
- Assist with month-end and year-end payroll reporting and analysis
- Respond to employee queries regarding payslips, deductions, or other payroll-related matters
- Support the implementation of payroll policies and procedures to ensure compliance with employment legislation
Requirements
- Strong data entry accuracy
- Familiarity with human resources practices and legislation related to payroll processing
- Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail and accuracy in data management
- Analytical skills to interpret payroll data and generate reports effectively
- Prior experience in payroll or financial administration is desirable
- Ability to work independently whilst collaborating effectively within a team environment
- Strong communication skills to explain complex payroll information clearly and professionally

Pay: £12.71 per hour
