As a Strategic Partnership Manager, you will drive growth and expand our presence within the rail, roads, highways and utilities sector. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of these industries, a proven track record in building Strategic Partnerships, and the ability to build strong relationships with key stakeholders.
What You’ll Do
Key responsibilities include:
Market Analysis and Strategy Development:
- Conduct thorough market research to identify opportunities within the rail sector.
- Develop and implement a comprehensive business development strategy to achieve sales targets and market growth.
- Analyse competitor activities and industry trends to position the company effectively.
Client Acquisition and Relationship Management:
- Identify and engage with potential clients in the rail sector, including rail operators, contractors, and project managers.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing and new clients, ensuring a deep understanding of their needs and requirements.
- Conduct client meetings, presentations, and negotiations to secure new business deals.
Proposal and Contract Management:
- Prepare detailed proposals and quotations tailored to the specific needs of clients.
- Negotiate contract terms and conditions in line with company policies and client requirements.
- Ensure all contractual agreements are documented and followed through to completion.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Work closely with the operations, logistics, and product development teams to ensure the timely and efficient delivery of projects.
- Provide market feedback and insights to support continuous improvement and innovation in product offerings.
Performance Monitoring and Reporting:
- Track and report on business development activities, pipeline status, and sales performance.
- Use CRM tools to manage client information and sales activities.
- Regularly review and analyse sales data to refine strategies and improve performance

Essential skills & experience:
Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience within the sales sector.
- Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving business growth.
- Strong understanding of the rail industry, including key players, trends, and regulations.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Ability to build and maintain long-term relationships with clients and stakeholders.
- Proficiency in using CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Highly motivated, self-starter with strong problem-solving abilities.
