Job Summary
As a Shift Runner, you will be the energetic and organized leader guiding daily operations within a fast-paced food service environment. Your role is to ensure smooth and efficient service during your shift by supervising team members, maintaining high standards of food quality and safety, and delivering an exceptional experience to every guest. You will act as the key point of contact for your team, motivate staff, and uphold operational excellence to drive success throughout your shift.
Duties
- Lead and coordinate daily restaurant activities, ensuring all tasks are completed efficiently and to company standards
- Supervise team members, including food preparation, cooking, serving, and cleaning processes
- Monitor food safety protocols and ensure compliance with health regulations at all times
- Manage kitchen operations, including food production, quality control, and timely delivery of orders
- Support team members with training, coaching, and resolving any operational or customer service issues
- Maintain a clean, organized work environment by overseeing sanitation practices and equipment upkeep
- Communicate effectively with management on shift performance, inventory needs, and customer feedback
Skills
- Proven supervising experience in a restaurant or hospitality setting
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team
- Extensive knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and food safety standards
- Experience in food production and kitchen operations within a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication skills for clear direction and team collaboration
- Ability to handle multiple priorities efficiently while maintaining attention to detail
- Familiarity with hospitality industry standards including serving, barista experience is a plus
