Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook a wide range of menu items with precision, consistency, and flair.
- Follow standardized recipes and portion controls to ensure quality and efficiency.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, adhering to food safety regulations at all times.
- Monitor food inventory levels, report shortages, and assist with stock rotation to minimize waste.
- Ensure all food is stored properly, labeled accurately, and handled hygienically.
- Collaborate with team members to uphold high standards of cleanliness, safety, and customer satisfaction.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in food preparation, cooking and all health and safety practices within a cafe environment
- Strong knowledge of kitchen safety and food safety regulations.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail.
- Excellent skills in meal preparation, culinary techniques, and serving practices.
- Prior kitchen experience with familiarity in handling various cooking equipment and tools.
- Good communication skills and ability to work well within a team environment.
- A genuine passion for culinary arts and delivering exceptional dining experiences.

Join us as a Cook and bring your culinary talents to life! We have a fixed term contract for a friendly and experienced cafe cook. We sell all the expected cafe menu items plus a lot of homemade cakes and scones.
Must be a good communicator with a friendly disposition. we are a small business with a small team but with a big heart and therefore key to work with other team members
This role doesnt start until Feb 2027 for a fixed 1 year contract However a few shadowing days will be needed in the lead up.
Pay: £12.71-£14.00 per hour
