At Billy’s Speed Shop we revolve around USA Imported Car Parts, from unique precision solutions to complex problems, to bulk off the shelf repair and replacement parts, in business since 2019 we are very established, but need to push for the next phase of growth.
We help enthusiasts, business, builders and speed freaks go faster, safer and get the most enjoyment from the brands that we distribute, the brands we have access to are some of the most respected in the USA Car, Hot rod, Racing and builder scenes.
The Impact You'll Make
As our Shopify Developer, you’ll be the driving force behind our online experience. You’ll redevelop the experience, and give the UI a unique slant, and be a part of a proven product catalogue relaunch.
What you will do
· Pick a theme, organise Collections, Bring in product from a very bespoke product database, and map this to be findable well thought out product catalogue
· Build, Integrate a custom theme, with a liquid template that can really showcase our products with style.
· Implement advanced product filtering, tapping into the business technical knowledge to help us get a customer to the correct part
· Integrate 3rd party apps, for inventory stock levels, shipping solutions, maybe even dynamic discount codes for advertising promotions.
· Work closely with both directors, and help generate marketing publication replicating the look and feel of the website
· Monitor site performance, and troubleshoot issues that may arise with either tech function or customer use. But to give a seamless experience across PC, Tablet and Mobile.
· We use stock levels from multiple sources, and whilst we don’t have a fixed method of bringing into the platform or displaying this is important to collaborate and find a solution
· Working from the office environment in Hednesford, Cannock. We believe that the best results come from working with your peers in a creative hands on situation, but we also understand sometimes the environment is very busy and more productivity may happen from a home environment.
What will you bring with you
· Show experience of previous shopify projects, Customisation, Scripting
· Strong understand of shoofly’s API, and making this share with other systems.
· Theme architecture, and making it ours
· A creative eye, not afraid of suggestions or going against the grain, and standing up for ecommerce best practices.
· BONUS TIME: Experience in Automotive, Motorsport or Niche retail brands, or a general love for cars, modification and personalisation.
