The Opportunity:
We are looking for an experienced and motivated Alarm & CCTV Installer to join our growing team.The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, commissioning, maintaining and fault-finding a range of CCTV, intruder alarm and electronic security systems, working across both commercial and construction environments.This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced security systems installer who takes pride in delivering a high standard of workmanship and providing a professional service to customers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Installation and commissioning of CCTV systems.
- Installation and commissioning of intruder alarm systems.
- Installation of cameras, sensors, detectors, control panels and associated equipment.
- Cabling, wiring and termination of security systems.
- Programming and configuring CCTV and alarm equipment.
- Setting up remote monitoring and mobile applications where required.
- Carrying out system testing and commissioning.
- Fault finding, diagnosis and repair of existing systems.
- Carrying out routine maintenance and servicing.
- Reading and working from drawings, plans and installation instructions.
- Working safely on construction sites and customer premises.
- Completing installation paperwork, test sheets and service reports.
- Liaising professionally with customers, site managers and other contractors.
- Maintaining a clean, tidy and safe working environment.
- Ensuring all work is completed to a high professional standard and in accordance with relevant UK regulations and company procedures.
- The Ideal Candidate
- We are looking for someone who:
- Has proven experience installing CCTV and intruder alarm systems.
- Is confident with electrical and low-voltage wiring.
- Can install systems from start to finish with minimal supervision.
- Has good fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
- Can read and understand wiring diagrams and system drawings.
- Is comfortable working at height and using access equipment where required.
- Is able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Has excellent attention to detail.
- Is professional, reliable and customer-focused.
- Takes pride in producinga neat and high-quality installation.
- Qualifications & Experience
- Essential:
- Previous experience as a CCTV / Security Systems Installer.
- Good understanding of CCTV and intruder alarm systems.
- Practical experience with cabling, wiring and termination.
- Good knowledge of safe working practices.
- Full UK driving licence.Desirable:
- Relevant security systems qualification or industry training.
- Experience with IP CCTV and network equipment.
- Experience with remote viewing and monitoring systems.
- Experience with access control systems.
- Experience working on construction sites and temporary security systems.
- IPAF / PASMA certification if not training will be provided
- Familiarity with BS 7671 and relevant security industry standards.
