Overview
We are seeking diligent and detail-oriented Pick and Pack Operatives to join our warehouse team. This role involves efficiently handling materials, preparing orders for dispatch, and maintaining stock accuracy within a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will possess a strong work ethic, good organisational skills, and experience in warehouse operations. This position offers an excellent opportunity to develop your skills within a dynamic logistics setting, contributing to the smooth operation of our supply chain.
Responsibilities
- Accurately picking items from stock based on order specifications using warehouse management systems
- Packing products securely to ensure safe transportation and delivery
- Loading and unloading stock using appropriate manual handling techniques and forklift trucks where necessary
- Managing shipping and receiving processes, including documentation and inventory updates
- Stocking shelves and organising stock in designated areas to optimise space utilisation
- Conducting quality control checks to ensure products meet company standards
- Operating mechanical equipment such as forklifts (training provided if required)
- Maintaining a clean and organised warehouse environment to adhere to health and safety regulations
- Assisting with inventory counts and stock replenishment as needed
Experience
- Previous experience in a warehouse environment is preferred but not essential; training will be provided for all necessary equipment and systems
- Familiarity with materials handling, picking & packing, and shipping & receiving processes is advantageous
- Basic mechanical knowledge or experience operating forklifts is desirable but not mandatory; training will be available for suitable candidates
- Experience with warehouse management systems or similar software is beneficial
- Good organisational skills with attention to detail to ensure order accuracy and stock integrity
- Physical fitness to handle long periods of standing, walking, lifting, and moving stock throughout the shift
