This is an ideal opportunity for someone at the start of their career or with 1–2 years' experience who is eager to learn, take on responsibility and grow with us.
This isn't just another office job. Every day is different. You'll create social media content, support customers, help care for our daycare dogs, learn bookkeeping and finance, and become a key part of our ambitious, family-run business.
No two days are ever the same. One moment you could be creating social media content, the next helping customers, taking one of our daycare dogs for a walk, speaking with suppliers or learning new finance skills.
Your Responsibilities
Dog Boarding & Daycare
As this role is based within our licensed dog boarding and daycare business, you'll be involved in the day-to-day running of the facility when needed.
This may include:
- Greeting owners and their dogs.
- Helping care for our boarding and daycare dogs.
- Walking dogs when required.
- Assisting with feeding, playtime and enrichment.
- Taking photographs and videos of the dogs for social media.
- Helping maintain our excellent customer experience.
A genuine love of dogs is absolutely essential.
Social Media & Marketing (A Major Part of the Role)
This is one of the most important parts of the position.
You'll manage the social media presence for all three businesses across Facebook and Instagram.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Creating daily posts, stories and reels.
- Taking photographs and filming content.
- Creating engaging videos.
- Scheduling content.
- Responding to comments and messages.
- Growing our online presence.
- Creating graphics using Canva or similar software.
- Helping grow The French Bulldog brand and online sales.
- Promoting West Byfleet Dog Boarding & Daycare.
- Creating content that showcases our construction projects.
Customer Service, Sales & Office Administration
- Answer incoming phone calls, WhatsApp messages and emails.
- Respond to customer enquiries quickly and professionally.
- Manage bookings and customer records.
- Maintain the email inboxes for The French Bulldog and West Byfleet Dog Boarding & Daycare.
- Contact existing and potential resellers for The French Bulldog products.
- Follow up sales opportunities and customer enquiries.
- Help build long-term relationships with trade customers and distributors.
- Keep office systems organised.
- Support the day-to-day running of all three businesses.
Finance & Business Support (Training Provided)
You don't need to be an experienced accountant.
We're looking for someone who is confident with numbers, enjoys problem solving and is keen to learn.
We'll provide full training and professional development so you can gradually take ownership of more of the finance function.
Initially you'll help with:
- Raising customer invoices.
- Recording payments.
- Processing supplier invoices.
- Reconciling bank accounts.
- Basic bookkeeping.
- Maintaining organised financial records.
- Preparing and submitting basic HMRC and Companies House filings under supervision.
- Producing reports for the directors.
As your experience grows, we'll support you through further finance training and qualifications, allowing you to take on more advanced accounting responsibilities over time.
Pay: £23,000.00-£26,000.00 per year
