Full-Time and Part-Time Opportunities
Great pubs need great people, and The Cock Pub in Whaley Bridge is looking for dependable, customer-focused people to join our front of house team.
This varied role may particularly appeal to someone bringing plenty of life or work experience who wants a rewarding, hands-on position in a busy and friendly pub.
You will need a mature and responsible approach, excellent attention to detail and a genuine interest in looking after customers. You should enjoy being busy, take pride in doing things properly and be willing to help wherever needed.
Duties will include
- Welcoming and looking after customers
- Waiting on and serving food
- Bar service
- Making coffees and hot drinks
- Cleaning all areas to a high standard
- Assisting with cellar work
- Supporting the team during busy services
We serve lunch and evening meals, with shifts across six days each week. Full-time and part-time options are available, although flexibility for daytime, evening and weekend shifts is important.
The position may also suit someone who wants to learn all aspects of running a successful UK pub, with practical guidance and input from a very hands-on, experienced owner.
Previous hospitality experience is preferred, but reliability, attitude, customer service and consistently high standards are equally important.
