Job Overview
We are seeking an energetic and dedicated Pub Manager to lead our lively pub environment while living on-site. This dynamic role combines hands-on management, culinary expertise, and hospitality leadership to create an inviting atmosphere for guests and staff alike. As the Pub Manager - Live In, you will oversee daily operations, ensure exceptional service, and maintain a vibrant community space. Your leadership will inspire your team to deliver memorable experiences while managing food safety standards and kitchen operations with enthusiasm and precision.
Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise all aspects of pub operations, including food preparation, cooking, serving, and bar service
- Manage a team of staff, providing guidance, training, and motivation to ensure high standards of hospitality and teamwork
- Oversee food safety protocols, ensuring compliance with health regulations and proper food handling procedures
- Coordinate food production in the kitchen, maintaining quality control and efficient workflow
- Create a welcoming environment for guests by delivering excellent customer service and resolving any issues promptly
- Maintain cleanliness, organization, and safety standards throughout the pub premises
- Handle inventory management, ordering supplies, and controlling costs to optimize profitability
Qualifications
- Proven supervising experience in hospitality or restaurant settings with team management responsibilities
- Strong culinary experience including food preparation and cooking skills
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in food production
- Experience in hospitality environments such as pubs, restaurants, or hotels is highly desirable
- Excellent leadership abilities with the capacity to motivate a diverse team
- Background in serving or barista experience is a plus for understanding guest interactions
- Demonstrated ability to manage kitchen operations efficiently while maintaining high standards of quality and safety
