Job Summary
We are looking for a Cloud Solutions Architect to design and deliver secure, scalable and reliable cloud solutions for a growing technology environment.
This is an opportunity to work across cloud architecture, solution design, infrastructure, security and digital transformation while partnering with engineering and business teams to turn technical requirements into practical solutions.
You will play a key role in shaping cloud strategy, modernising existing platforms and helping deliver resilient services across the organisation.
Key Responsibilities
- Design scalable and secure cloud architectures aligned with business requirements.
- Develop cloud solution designs, architecture diagrams and technical documentation.
- Work with engineering, development and infrastructure teams to deliver cloud solutions.
- Support cloud migration, modernisation and digital transformation programmes.
- Evaluate cloud services, platforms and technologies and recommend appropriate solutions.
- Establish architecture standards, principles and best practices.
- Consider security, availability, performance, scalability and cost in solution designs.
- Support infrastructure-as-code and automation initiatives.
- Identify technical risks and develop practical solutions.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business and technical requirements.
- Contribute to cloud governance, technology roadmaps and continuous improvement.
Required Skills and Experience
- Experience working in a Cloud Architect, Cloud Solutions Architect, Solutions Architect or similar role.
- Strong understanding of cloud architecture and modern cloud technologies.
- Experience with at least one major cloud platform such as AWS, Microsoft Azure or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- Understanding of networking, identity and access management, security and cloud infrastructure.
- Experience designing scalable, highly available and resilient systems.
- Knowledge of cloud migration and modernisation approaches.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills.
- Ability to explain technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Preferred Experience
- Relevant cloud certification such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Microsoft Azure Solutions Architect Expert or Google Cloud Professional Cloud Architect.
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
- Knowledge of containers and Kubernetes.
- Experience with CI/CD and DevOps practices.
- Familiarity with cloud security, governance and cost optimisation.
- Experience working within Agile delivery environments.
