Hours: Minimum 2 days per week (with the opportunity for additional hours)
We're looking for a talented and caring Dog Groomer to join our friendly, independent grooming parlour in East London.
We pride ourselves on providing a calm, welcoming environment where animal welfare always comes first. Our focus is on building lasting relationships with both our canine clients and their owners through exceptional grooming and outstanding customer service.
We're a small salon where quality matters more than quantity. We believe every dog deserves a calm, positive grooming experience, and we never rush appointments at the expense of welfare.
About the Role
You'll be responsible for grooming dogs of all breeds and sizes to a high standard, while ensuring every dog has a positive, low-stress experience. You'll work independently as well as alongside our small, supportive team.
Responsibilities
- Carry out full grooms, including bathing, drying, clipping, scissoring and styling.
- Handle dogs with patience, confidence and kindness.
- Monitor each dog's health and wellbeing during appointments, reporting any concerns to owners.
- Deliver excellent customer service, offering professional advice on coat care and maintenance.
- Maintain a clean, safe and organised grooming environment.
- Help create a friendly atmosphere where clients and their pets feel welcome.
About You
We're looking for someone who:
- Has professional dog grooming experience (Level 3 qualification preferred but not essential with relevant experience).
- Can confidently groom a variety of breeds to a high standard.
- Has excellent handling skills and a genuine passion for animal welfare.
- Is friendly, reliable and enjoys building relationships with customers.
- Is confident working solo, and also works well as part of a team.
- Has strong attention to detail and takes pride in their work.
