At Life Couriers, our operation is fast-paced, customer-focused and constantly evolving. We’re looking for a reliable, hands-on Warehouse Operative to join our team and help us maintain high standards across our warehouse operation.
This is more than just picking and packing. You’ll play an important role in making sure goods are received, stored, picked and dispatched accurately and efficiently, while keeping the warehouse safe, organised and running smoothly.
What you’ll be responsible for
- Receiving, checking and putting away incoming stock accurately and efficiently.
- Picking and packing orders accurately and to the required standard.
- Loading and unloading vehicles safely and efficiently with a Fork Lift.
- Ensuring goods are handled, stored and dispatched correctly.
- Maintaining accurate stock levels and reporting any discrepancies.
- Working to daily targets, KPIs and customer service standards.
- Keeping the warehouse clean, tidy and organised at all times.
- Following all company processes, health & safety procedures and compliance requirements.
- Supporting stock checks and regular warehouse audits.
- Identifying issues and suggesting ways we can improve how the warehouse operates.
- Taking responsibility for your work and supporting your colleagues during busy periods.
- Helping to create a positive, professional and high-performing warehouse environment.
What we’re looking for:
We’re looking for someone who is reliable, hardworking and takes pride in getting the job done properly.
You’ll ideally bring:
- Previous experience working in a warehouse, logistics or distribution environment.
- Good attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
- The ability to work at pace while maintaining high standards.
- Good organisational skills and the ability to prioritise workload.
- A strong team ethic and willingness to support colleagues.
- Good communication skills and a positive attitude.
- An understanding of health & safety within a warehouse environment.
- The confidence to work independently and use your initiative.
- A “can-do” attitude and willingness to get stuck in. This is a hands-on role.
- Good basic IT skills, with experience using warehouse or stock management systems an advantage.
- Previous experience using warehouse equipment such as pallet trucks or forklifts would be beneficial, although training can be provided where appropriate.
