MAKA Cafe is a small independent cafe in Brighton & Hove, known for our speciality coffee and handmade bakes prepared on-site every day.
We're looking for a Part-Time Cafe Team Member / Barista to join our friendly team.
This position has the potential to progress into a full-time role, so we'd particularly love to hear from people looking for a long-term opportunity to grow with us.
What You'll Be Doing
- Preparing and serving coffee and other drinks
- Providing friendly and welcoming customer service
- Helping with baking and simple food preparation
- Preparing and presenting our baked goods
- Keeping the café clean, organised and welcoming
- Supporting opening and closing duties
- Working together with the team during busy periods
Who We're Looking For
We're looking for someone who is:
- Friendly, positive and reliable
- Comfortable working in a busy café environment
- Interested in coffee, food and hospitality
- A good team player
- Willing to learn and develop new skills
- Available to work weekends when required
Previous cafe or barista experience would be an advantage.
