Overview
To set and operate a Brother Machining Centre to achieve high quality parts at a minimum cost to the Company. The incumbent shall work under the direction of the Team Leader/Shift Foreman. The processes involved are mainly counter sinking and honing of metal components.
To be flexible and be prepared to get involved in other production activities when necessary.
Duties
· To maintain the setting of the Machining Centre to the highest standards whilst incurring minimum cost.
· To machine specific parts to a specified size.
· Use of measuring equipment such as micrometers.
· To contribute ideas to improve quality and reduce cost.
· To operate an autonomous maintenance system.
· To participate in continuous improvement programs.
· To proactively maintain Health and Safety standards by employing risk analysis techniques.
Person Specification
Must be able to work as part of a team and liaise with personnel at all levels. The post holder should be well organised, self disciplined with the ability to concentrate on things within their area of knowledge.
