Dorset Cleaning Services is looking for an experienced and highly motivated Housekeeping Manager to join our growing team.
This is a hands-on management role for someone who takes pride in exceptional standards, knows how to lead from the front and can confidently coordinate a busy housekeeping team.
We are looking for someone who doesn’t just manage housekeeping — you make sure it is done properly.
The Role
As Housekeeping Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring our housekeeping teams consistently deliver the high standards our clients and guests expect.
You will be involved in the day-to-day operation, working alongside the team, checking properties, addressing issues and making sure everyone understands what is expected of them.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Managing and coordinating a team of housekeepers
- Organising daily workloads, schedules and team movements
- Carrying out regular quality checks and inspections
- Driving and maintaining consistently high cleaning and presentation standards
- Training, supporting and motivating team members
- Identifying areas for improvement and putting solutions in place
- Dealing confidently with problems and last-minute changes
- Ensuring properties are prepared to the required standard and on time
- Communicating effectively with clients, supervisors and other members of the management team
- Monitoring team performance and addressing poor standards when required
- Ensuring company procedures, health & safety requirements and cleaning processes are followed
- Helping to recruit and develop new members of the housekeeping team
The Person We’re Looking For
You’ll need to be an experienced housekeeping professional or manager who understands what exceptional standards look like.
We’re looking for someone who is:
