Job Summary
We are seeking a proactive and highly organised Event Manager to plan, coordinate, and deliver a wide range of weddings, corporate events, and private functions. The successful candidate will oversee all aspects of event management, from client consultation and planning through to on-site execution, ensuring exceptional customer service and seamless event delivery. Working closely with clients, suppliers, venues, and internal teams, the Event Manager will ensure every event is delivered to the highest professional standards while maintaining budgets, schedules, and compliance with health and safety requirements.
Duties
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the complete lifecycle of events, from the initial client consultation through to post-event completion. Key responsibilities include:
- Planning, organising, and coordinating weddings, corporate events, banquets, and private functions.
- Meeting with clients to understand their requirements, budgets, and expectations.
- Preparing event schedules, timelines, and operational plans.
- Coordinating suppliers, venues, entertainers, decorators, photographers, transport providers, and other third-party service providers.
- Managing event budgets and ensuring expenditure remains within agreed financial limits.
- Supervising catering operations, hospitality teams, waiting staff, kitchen personnel, and temporary event staff.
- Overseeing venue preparation, logistics, equipment setup, and operational readiness.
- Monitoring the smooth delivery of events and resolving any operational issues promptly and professionally.
- Maintaining exceptional customer service standards throughout every stage of the event.
- Ensuring compliance with food hygiene legislation, health and safety regulations, licensing requirements, and company policies.
- Managing post-event evaluations and maintaining strong long-term client relationships.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification .
- Minimum of 2–3 years' proven experience in event management, wedding planning, hospitality, or catering operations.
- Demonstrated experience in planning and delivering weddings, corporate events, conferences, banquets, or large private functions.
- Strong project management, organisational, and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple events simultaneously.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and client relationship management skills.
- Experience managing budgets, event schedules, suppliers, and venue logistics.
- Proven leadership experience supervising hospitality, catering, or event staff.
- Sound knowledge of health and safety regulations, food hygiene standards, and risk management within the hospitality and events industry.
- Proficiency in IT and event management or scheduling software.
- Ability to work full time, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays, as required by business operations.
