The post holder will be providing key first-point-of-contact duties in addition to supporting the various projects taking place within the centre.
You will need:
- Excellent customer service skills and the ability to communicate effectively with a diverse customer base
- Experience of working within an IAG role providing employment support to long term unemployed and individuals who are economically inactive
- Knowledge of local services, employers and training opportunities within Coventry.
Job Purpose:
- To provide an effective first-point-of-contact service to all visitors accessing the WATCH building and dealing politely and professional with face-to-face enquiries.
- Directing and signposting visitors to relevant areas of the building and informing staff if visitors have arrived for appointments.
- Responding in a timely manner to telephone and email enquiries and transferring enquiries to the relevant internal departments.
- Assisting visitors with accessing photocopying services and handling cash for service provision.
- Opening and processing post and accurately recording relevant details into the post log book
- Maintaining a nominal amount of petty cash, recording all expenditure and storing receipts as appropriate
- The post holder will also offer support to the projects at WATCH with contacting and interacting with a small caseload of participants so they can be referred to relevant work, study or training opportunities.
- Carry out necessary occasional registrations, initial assessments and action planning with project participants.
- Complete all paperwork required by funders and carry out other administrative tasks including resolving queries, following-up outcomes and devising good news stories and reports each quarter. Liaise with project managers to maintain communications and enquiries.

- Carry out other tasks appropriate to the level of the post as and when required by WATCH Employment Services Manager or Centre Manager

- Undertake such other duties and tasks as may lie within the scope of this post to ensure the effective delivery and development of the service
