McKee’s Farm Shop is a family-run, well-established food business based in Newtownards, incorporating a busy farm shop, deli, bakery, butchery and restaurant. We are passionate about producing quality food using our own farm produce and locally sourced ingredients.
We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Deli Kitchen Chef to join our busy kitchen team.
The Role
As a Deli Kitchen Chef, you will be responsible for preparing and producing a range of fresh, high-quality deli foods and ready-to-eat meals for our customers.
Key responsibilities include:
- Preparing and cooking fresh deli products and ready meals
- Preparing sandwiches, salads, soups, pies, sausage rolls and other deli items
- Following recipes and maintaining consistent quality and presentation
- Working efficiently in a busy kitchen environment
- Maintaining excellent food hygiene and cleanliness standards
- Ensuring correct food storage, labelling and stock rotation
- Minimising food waste and maintaining good stock control
- Working as part of a friendly and professional kitchen team
- Following all company food safety and health & safety procedures
We are looking for someone who:
- Has previous professional kitchen or deli experience
- Has a genuine passion for good-quality food
- Can work efficiently under pressure
- Has excellent attention to detail
- Works well as part of a team
- Has a positive and reliable attitude
- Understands the importance of food hygiene and food safety
- Is flexible regarding working hours, including weekends where required
Previous experience in a deli, farm shop, restaurant, café or food production kitchen would be advantageous.
