Role Overview
As a Junior Billing Analyst, you will support the Billing Team in delivering accurate and timely billing services for our commercial customers. Working alongside experienced colleagues, you will assist with customer billing, supplier invoice validation and resolving billing queries while developing your knowledge of the utilities industry. This role offers an excellent opportunity to build a career in energy billing, with ongoing training and development.
Key Responsibilities
· Assist with preparing and issuing accurate customer bills in line with agreed contracts and pricing.
· Support the review and validation of supplier invoices against contracts, tariffs and meter data.
· Investigate billing discrepancies and work with suppliers and internal teams to resolve queries.
· Maintain accurate billing records and update internal systems.
· Respond to customer billing enquiries professionally and escalate complex issues where appropriate.
· Support billing reconciliations, reporting and audit activities.
· Ensure billing processes comply with internal procedures and industry standards.
· Identify opportunities to improve billing accuracy and team processes.
· Work collaboratively with the Operations, Sales and Finance teams to deliver an excellent customer experience.
Skills & Experience
· Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
· Good numerical and analytical skills.
· Confident using Microsoft Excel and other business systems.
· Excellent organisation and time management skills.
· A proactive attitude with a willingness to learn.
· Previous administration, finance, customer service or utilities experience is beneficial.
