Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Play Worker to support children in a safe, engaging, and nurturing environment. The ideal candidate will have a passion for child development and enjoy facilitating fun activities that promote social, emotional, and physical growth. Duties
- Organise and supervise play activities suitable for different age groups, ensuring all children are engaged and included.
- Support children's social interactions by encouraging teamwork, sharing, and communication.
- Assist with the planning and implementation of educational games and creative projects that stimulate learning.
- Ensure the safety of all children by monitoring play areas and intervening when necessary.
- Maintain a clean and organised play environment, adhering to health and safety regulations.
- Support children during transitions between activities or areas within the facility.
- Prepare and serve nutritious breakfasts and afternoon snacks, ensuring high standards of food hygiene, cleanliness and safety. Follow all dietary, allergy and food safety procedures while creating a positive and welcoming mealtime experience for children. Maintain a clean and organised kitchen area and assist with stock rotation and replenishment.
- Collaborate with parents, carers, and colleagues to provide updates on children's progress or concerns.
Skills
- Experience in childcare, nannying, teaching, or similar roles is highly desirable.
- Ability to communicate effectively
- Strong organisational skills with the capacity to plan engaging activities tailored to different age groups.
- Compassionate nature with excellent interpersonal skills to build trusting relationships with children and adults alike.
- Patience, creativity, and enthusiasm for working with children of diverse backgrounds.
- Paediatric first aid, Safeguarding and Food Safety training is preferred but not essential; training can be provided if necessary.

Pay: £12.71 per hour
