About Crouch Physio
Crouch Physio Ltd is an award-winning, growing physiotherapy clinic located in the heart of leafy Cockfosters, North London. Based within the state-of-the-art Athletic Development Club, we provide outstanding musculoskeletal care to a diverse client base, from children and older adults through to elite athletes.
This year, we were proud to receive our third Clinical Excellence Award from the prestigious Global Health & Pharma (GHP) Holistic Health Awards, being recognised as the 'Best Physiotherapy & Rehabilitation Clinic – 2026'. This award reflects our unwavering commitment to clinical excellence, evidence-based practice, outstanding patient care, and continuous innovation.
Our clinic is home to current and former professional footballers, academy players, and some of the UK's leading professionals. Alongside our clinic-based services, we have a growing Sports Medicine Department, supporting sporting populations across football and rugby.
We are now looking for a passionate, motivated, and enthusiastic Physiotherapist or Sports Rehabilitator to join our Sports Medicine Department on a part-time, sessional basis.
The role will primarily involve working with amateur and semi-professional football and rugby clubs, providing pitchside injury management, match-day medical support, training-session cover, injury clinics, rehabilitation, and injury prevention.
This is an exciting opportunity for a clinician who is passionate about sports medicine and wants to gain further experience working directly within sporting environments. You will work alongside coaches, strength and conditioning staff, club personnel, and other members of the sports medicine team to provide high-quality care to athletes.
The role is particularly suited to someone who enjoys the dynamic nature of pitchside sports medicine and wants to develop their experience across both acute injury management and longer-term rehabilitation.
Industry-Leading Technology & Clinical Development
At Crouch Physio, we are committed to delivering the highest standard of evidence-based care by investing in the latest rehabilitation and performance technology.
Although this role is primarily based within our external sports medicine environments rather than within our clinic, you will still be fully integrated into the wider Crouch Physio clinical team.
As part of the Sports Medicine Department, you will have the opportunity to attend our monthly in-house CPD sessions, where the team shares clinical knowledge, discusses complex cases, and reviews the latest evidence-based practice.
You will also have access to our annual CPD budget to support relevant external courses and professional development, helping you continue to develop your clinical expertise and progress your career within sports medicine.
Our wider clinical team has access to industry-leading technology including:
- VALD ForceDecks Force Plates for objective movement analysis, strength testing, balance assessment, and return-to-sport decision-making.
- ActivForce Digital Handheld Dynamometers for accurate, objective strength testing and monitoring rehabilitation progress.
- Compex Muscle Stimulation Systems to assist with rehabilitation, muscle activation, and recovery.
- Automatic Blood Flow Restriction (BFR) Therapy Systems to support strength development and rehabilitation.
We believe that combining excellent clinical reasoning with evidence-based rehabilitation and objective assessment enables us to provide the highest standard of care to the athletes we work with.
The Role
As a Physiotherapist or Sports Rehabilitator within our Sports Medicine Department, you will provide physiotherapy and sports injury management services to amateur and semi-professional football and rugby clubs.
Your responsibilities will vary depending on the club and session but will primarily include match-day/pitchside cover, training-session support, injury assessment, injury management, injury clinics, rehabilitation, and return-to-sport support.
You will be expected to assess and manage acute sporting injuries confidently, make appropriate clinical decisions regarding the immediate management of injuries, and communicate effectively with players, coaches, and club staff.
You will also support athletes throughout their rehabilitation, working towards a safe and effective return to training and competition.
This role requires someone who can work independently and confidently within a sporting environment while also knowing when an injury requires further assessment, investigation, or onward referral.
You will become part of Crouch Physio's wider Sports Medicine Department and will be supported by an experienced and ambitious clinical team. We are passionate about developing exceptional clinicians and providing opportunities to grow your experience within sports medicine.
